As the Association of Academicians Union, we conducted a four-day intensive working visit to Lithuania within the scope of the EU project titled “Increasing Climate Change Adaptation of Local Industry and Agriculture,” carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Vilkaviškis in Lithuania and the Municipality of Türkeli in Sinop. During this visit, as the Academicians Association, the Municipality of Vilkaviškis, and the Municipality of Türkeli, we confirmed our decision to develop a joint initiative against “climate change” within the framework of project activities with a protocol.
The other aspect of the visit focused on academic activities. We visited Kaunas University of Technology to introduce our university and the Department of Industrial Design Engineering. In addition to student and staff mobility, we also agreed on conducting joint projects.
I would like to thank the officials of the Municipality of Vilkaviškis, who hosted us for four days, and the faculty members of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Design at Kaunas University of Technology.
