The WAAM in Digital Transformation: Innovative Manufacturing Training for Youth (DigiWAAM) project aims to transform vocational education and training in advanced manufacturing by focusing on Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) technology. This Erasmus+ KA220-VET initiative equips young individuals with cutting-edge skills, aligning education with labor market needs and fostering digital transformation. Through activities such as research and needs analysis, curriculum development, joint staff training, and pilot implementations, the project ensures a practical and industry-relevant approach. DigiWAAM promotes sustainability by introducing innovative manufacturing practices while enhancing participants’ digital readiness and employability. Implemented by a consortium of partners from Turkey, Poland, Greece, and Italy, the project fosters international collaboration and knowledge exchange. By addressing the skills gap in the manufacturing sector, DigiWAAM contributes to digital transformation and prepares young professionals for future challenges.
