Child Labour in Turkey: Problems and Proposed Solutions

This week’s Cuma Sohbetleri program hosted Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Eşici and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emre Sönmez as our distinguished guests.

Topic: “Child Labour in Türkiye: Problems and Solution Proposals”

Organized on the occasion of May 1st, the program comprehensively addressed the current state of child labour in Türkiye, the underlying causes of child employment, its effects on education and social life, and possible solution strategies.

Drawing on their academic studies, field observations, and professional experiences, our speakers delivered an insightful and thought-provoking discussion that provided valuable perspectives for all participants. Throughout the program, particular emphasis was placed on raising social awareness and developing multidimensional social policies in the fight against child labour.
