Curriculum Development for Rapid Prototyping in Engineering Education (CDRP-EN)
Type: Erasmus+ Higher Education
Project Number: 2018-1-TR01-KA203-059739
Duration: 2018–2021
Role: Partner
While prototyping was traditionally considered costly in manufacturing, modern rapid prototyping (3D printing) technologies enable early detection of design errors, reducing costs and accelerating production processes.
This Erasmus+ project aims to develop a standardized and up-to-date rapid prototyping (RP) curriculum for engineering faculties. As part of the project, international summer/winter schools, workshops, and training programs will be organized to strengthen students' access to cutting-edge manufacturing technologies.
The project duration is 36 months, with Gazi University (coordinator), Parantez Technology, and the Academicians Union Association representing Türkiye. Institutions from Poland, Romania, Malta, Italy, and the Czech Republic participate as international partners.
This initiative seeks to equip engineering students with international-level competencies in 3D printing-based prototyping and support the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies into engineering education.
