AAU's IOHS Project Approved

The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services, acting as the Programme Authority and Contracting Authority responsible for Human Resources Development under the Directorate General for EU and Financial Assistance, is implementing and benefiting from the "Employment, Education and Social Policies Sectoral Operational Programme under IPA II (IESP SOP) Application, the projects to be supported under the ‘Improvement of Occupational Health and Safety (IOHS)’ Grant Programme, to be implemented as the ‘Technical Assistance for Institutional Capacity Development’ project, have been determined.

Within the scope of the ‘Improvement of Occupational Health and Safety (IOHS)’ project, the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services, Directorate General for EU and Financial Assistance, and our association, as the executor, have accepted the project titled ‘Increasing Safety in the Mining Sector through Trainings Regarding OHS Principles’, jointly financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey, and signed a contract on 12 December 2020.

The project aims to improve occupational health and safety in the mining sector by raising awareness among workers and employers.
