Job Vacancy: Project Communications Specialist

We are seeking a Project Communications Specialist to be assigned to a European Union project being carried out under the auspices of the Association of Academicians Union:

Contract Type: Project-based

Job Description: To carry out visibility activities for events to be held as part of our European Union project; to design and implement the project’s media, digital media and stakeholder communication strategies in accordance with EU visibility rules.

Key Responsibilities

Communication Strategy and Visibility: To prepare the project’s communication and visibility plan; to oversee all related processes.
Event Communication: To prepare pre- and post-event announcements for workshops, conferences and meetings; to draft press releases; and to manage media relations.
Content Production: Produce high-quality content (text, visuals, video) in Turkish and English for the project website, social media accounts, newsletters, brochures and reports.
Reporting: Monitor reach and engagement statistics for communication activities (social media analytics, media coverage) and incorporate these into project reports.

Required Qualifications

• Must have completed a bachelor’s degree.
• At least 2 years’ experience in the field of communications on EU or internationally funded projects.
• Excellent command of Turkish and English (written and spoken), with strong copywriting and editing skills.
• Proficient in using social media management tools, content management systems and basic graphic design software.
• Strong presentation, representation and stakeholder management skills.
