DigiWAAM Partners Gather for First Face-to-Face Meeting in Italy
On April 23–24, our association participated in the first in-person meeting of the DigiWAAM Project, held in Bari and Lecce, Italy. The meetings were conducted with the participation of all project consortium members.
The first session took place in Bari, hosted by ITS Cuccovillo. During this session, the project team reviewed the Research and Needs Analysis Report. The findings offer an important roadmap for shaping vocational training content tailored to Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) technologies.
The second session was held in Lecce, hosted by Università del Salento. This session focused on the technical structure and curriculum design of the upcoming digital training platform. Drawing on feedback from students, academics, and industry representatives, a dynamic working environment was created to plan a platform that will deliver both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
DigiWAAM represents a concrete step toward equipping the future workforce with the digital and technical competencies required in modern manufacturing processes.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all project partners for their contributions to this shared vision.
