We Conducted a Study Visit to Lithuania

As the Association of Academicians Union, we conducted a four-day intensive study visit to Lithuania within the scope of the EU-funded project titled “Enhancing the Adaptation of Local Industry and Agriculture to Climate Change,” carried out in cooperation with the Municipality of Vilkaviškis (Lithuania) and the Municipality of Türkeli (Sinop, Türkiye). During this visit, the Academicians Union Association, the Municipality of Vilkaviškis, and the Municipality of Türkeli confirmed our commitment to jointly developing an initiative to combat climate change through the signing of a cooperation protocol.

Another dimension of the visit focused on academic collaboration. To introduce our university and the Department of Industrial Design Engineering, we visited Kaunas University of Technology. During the meetings, mutual agreement was reached on conducting joint projects as well as promoting student and staff mobility.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the officials of the Municipality of Vilkaviškis for hosting us throughout the four days, and to the faculty members of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Design, Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kaunas University of Technology for their warm welcome and fruitful discussions.
